MORE ABOUT IPD

100 YEARS

Empowering the Future:
A Centenary of Public Health Excellence

COVID-19 widened the already unacceptable inequalities in access to essential diagnostics, medicines, and vaccines in Africa, and has sparked a movement to enhance regional public health institutions and diversified manufacturing facilities. The Institut Pasteur de Dakar (IPD) has embarked on a transformative journey towards securing a brighter future for public health in Africa and becoming a champion for regional health security. This year, IPD celebrates its 100-year anniversary, representing a significant milestone and invaluable opportunity to review our achievements and look ahead at IPD’s role for the next 100 years.

IPD aims to celebrate its century-long contributions to public health, with the organisation of a week-long event that will showcase IPD’s achievements and set the stage for continued impact on health security and sustainability in Africa.
