This Wednesday, December 11, 2024, we were honored to welcome key players in the healthcare and innovation sector to the Forum on Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Healthcare, as part of the Institut Pasteur de Dakar’s centenary celebrations. The event was organized by 𝐃𝐫 Joe Fitchett, π’πžπ§π’π¨π« 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐒𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐧 𝐁𝐒𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐑𝐧𝐨π₯𝐨𝐠𝐲, Institut Pasteur de Dakar, with his team and IPD strategic partners.

The day was marked by fascinating lectures and enriching discussions on the future of healthcare in Africa. But what particularly caught our attention were the innovative startups who came to present their solutions and vision for transforming the healthcare landscape. These included:

  • Wergu : a mobile application facilitating drug delivery and access to local pharmacy information.
  • Njureel Services : structure dedicated to women’s health, offering e-health solutions 100% focused on this crucial sector.
  • Eyone Medical : a digital solution that connects patients and healthcare professionals to improve the quality of care.
  • TanΓ©l Health : a fast-growing start-up digitalizing Africa’s healthcare sector, creating an integrated tool to connect all stakeholders.
  • SammantΓ© SantΓ© : a platform that simplifies healthcare management and offers direct access to crucial information on medical care.

These companies and many others have shown how innovation can meet health challenges in Africa, while contributing to vaccine sovereignty and equitable access to care.

A big thank you to all the speakers from IPD and elsewhere, the startups and the participants for making this event a key moment of the centenary week!
