Review of the workshop on the digitisation of health data in Africa

On 26 March 2025, at the Institut Pasteur de Dakar, a major policy dialogue was held on strengthening the digitisation of health data in Africa. It was a key moment of sharing and reflection for a group of policymakers, experts and stakeholders on the challenges and opportunities of digitising healthcare systems in Africa, and more specifically in Senegal.

What we learned:

๐Ÿ” The importance of digitising healthcare data to improve the efficiency and quality of care.

๐Ÿ”— The challenges of interoperability and connectivity, and the solutions needed to overcome them.

๐ŸŒ The need for greater collaboration between local and regional players to create sustainable infrastructures.

We would like to thank all the speakers and participants for their enriching contributions, as well as the State of Senegal, the Ministry of Health and Social Action and the Ministry of the Digital Economy and Telecommunications for their presence and support.

This event marks an important milestone for the digital transformation of healthcare systems in Africa.
