Biosafety and Biosecurity training for practitioners in Togo came to a successful conclusion on Saturday 7 September 2024! This intensive session, which began on 2 September 2024, took place at Africa CDC’s West Africa Centre of Excellence, hosted by the Institut Pasteur in Dakar.
Supported by The Global Fund as part of the C19RM programme, this initiative aimed to build the capacity of laboratory professionals in the management of biological risks and biomedical waste.
At the end of the training, 20 local staff were trained and certified, improving their ability to manage biological risks, a crucial issue in the face of recent epidemics such as Ebola and Covid-19. They have now acquired essential skills to strengthen preparedness and response to health crises.
A big thank you to all the participants and teams who contributed to this success!
