Institut Pasteur de Dakar is proud to announce its designation by the World Health Organization as a Regional Training Centre (RTC) for Biomanufacturing for the African Region, under the WHO Biomanufacturing Workforce Training Initiative.
A Rigorous and International Selection Process
This recognition results from a long and rigorous scientific selection process, including site visits by WHO experts, attesting to the quality of IPD’s infrastructure and teams.
Training a New Generation of African Biomanufacturing Experts
Through its Regional Training Hub (RTH) in Diamniadio, IPD will train African experts to support vaccine and health product development and production across the continent, supporting Africa’s goal of producing 60% of its vaccines locally by 2040.
A Historic Milestone for Africa’s Biomanufacturing Ecosystem
This designation is a major milestone toward a sustainable, resilient, and sovereign African biomanufacturing ecosystem. IPD thanks WHO for this trust and renews its commitment.
