On Friday, January 23, 2026, Dakar hosted the 1st Private Medicine Congress in Senegal. This historic event featured a keynote by Dr. Ibrahima Socé Fall, General Administrator of the Institut Pasteur de Dakar (IPD), on a crucial topic: “Medical Sovereignty: The Role of the Private Sector.”
Speaking to health professionals and policymakers, Dr. Socé Fall reaffirmed the urgent need for sustainable health autonomy across the continent. Indeed, he emphasized that sovereignty cannot be achieved without strong synergy among all healthcare stakeholders.
