The visit of the President of the Republic of Senegal, His Excellency Mr. Doimaye Faye, to the Madiba Vaccinopole of the Institut Pasteur de Dakar marks the final day of activities celebrating the centenary of the Institut Pasteur de Dakar. This visit took place on Friday, December 13, 2024.

Located in Diamniadio, the Madiba Vaccinopole is a key component of the vision of the ๐๐ฅ๐š๐ง ๐’๐žฬ๐ง๐žฬ๐ ๐š๐ฅ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ“๐ŸŽ, particularly in the field of health, and aligns with the goal of ensuring Senegal and Africa’s vaccine sovereignty. During this solemn visit, the President praised the efforts made to strengthen Senegal’s capacity to locally produce vaccines and to ensure equitable and sustainable access to quality healthcare.

The ๐๐ฅ๐š๐ง ๐’๐žฬ๐ง๐žฬ๐ ๐š๐ฅ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ“๐ŸŽ includes, among other goals, the establishment of an efficient and accessible healthcare system for all, as well as the creation of inclusive and effective social protection.

This visit was also an opportunity to highlight the progress made under the MADIBA project, a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing local vaccine production capacities and ensuring sustainable and equitable healthcare coverage across the African continent.
